At Beauty Economics, we're committed to reducing waste and protecting our planet. In the U.S. alone, product returns generate over 4 billion pounds of landfill waste and 15 million metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year. That’s why we encourage thoughtful shopping—from reading product descriptions and checking ingredients to browsing customer reviews before you buy.

Below, you’ll find more details about our return policy to help guide your purchase decisions with confidence and care.

Returns are accepted within 15 business days of delivery for most items.

Not sure if your item is eligible for a return? Before initiating the process, please review our Return Policy to confirm if your product qualifies. Items must meet the following conditions:

  • The product must be return-eligible (not marked as final sale)
  • Return request is submitted within 15 business days of delivery
  • Product is unused, in the original packaging and the authenticity sticker is intact

If your item qualifies, please email us at support@beautyeconomics.com with the subject line "RETURN REQUEST - [Your Order Number]" and include the following information:

  • Contact Information: Full name, email address, phone number
  • Order Details: Order number, date of purchase, date of delivery, item(s) you wish to return (name + quantity)
  • Reason for Return

Once we receive your request, we'll review it and provide next steps, including instructions for mailing the return if approved. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.

Non-Returnable Items
Due to the nature of certain products (e.g. beauty or personal care items), some items are final sale and cannot be returned. This will be noted on the product page. Products with broken, missing, or tampered authenticity stickers will not be accepted. As a third-party marketplace supporting independent Black-owned beauty brands, all return inquiries must be handled directly through Beauty Economics.

Damages and issues
We offer optional shipping protection for a small fee at checkout. This covers your order in case it’s lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. If you decline shipping protection, we are not liable for carrier-related issues once the order is marked as delivered.

Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you'd like a different product, please return your original item (if eligible) and place a new order. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
